Subway app FOR PARIS

Hi everyone,

As said in many threads there is a lack of BB subway apps.

I wanna develop one but im not very familiar with Java since I only Know Visual Basic and PHP (don't laugh) and I very very motivated to do it coz many BB users are requesting one.

I wanna take it as a challenge to learn Java (is it really difficult ?) and to give everybody a simple subway solution instead of hearing "You should buy an Iphone"

Thanks to everyone who will give some advices.

I downloaded BB JDE 5 but I really don't know where start.

Since you now PHP, Java won't take you long, there are a LOT of similarities!

Best to start learning up the differences and learn java first, then move on to the developer videos and tutorials from BlackBerry, there are also books but I've not used them so can't give a recommendation.

Any update on the development of the subway app? I want to develop a train schedule app. I have no experience with app development, but do know Java. If you know of any useful newbie app development resources, please post them here. Thanks.
