Default Recommend an IDE for HTML5 for BB

I'm looking at building an HTML5 app for BB, and am wondering what people recommend as an IDE. I use dreamweaver for a lot of web work, but not sure this is well suited to BB.

Suggestions?

Get a decent text editor like EditPlus or Notepad++ You don't really need anything else.

The last thing you want is some WYSIWYG editor cluttering things up with unnecessary garbage -- or worse; removing attributes it doesn't know about.

Dreamweaver can be used just fine, in fact you can use any note pad. Notepad++ is also good for coding.

If you have money to get WYSIWYG it will be even better, it can simplify a lot of thing.

Do not use microsoft word because it has underlying codes that can mess up with your code.

I'll suggest, I you plan to develop and maintain your apps on a long term view, that you choose a solution that will allow to manage projects. Even if you don't use it at the beginning, it will save you time later. Of course, the "editor" part will also gain in productivity like color coding, syntax check etc ... but you'll have to learn a little how to use it properly (quite easy).

I'll suggest you have a look to eclipse, which is free also.
Eclipse Downloads
Classic (full) or JS Web developer ... that is your choice.

If your used to a IDE, just use that, as most will have the ability to develop with HTML5 or have an add in.

I use Visual Studio, but that is because my primary job is developing with .NET solutions. Eclipse, Dreamweaver, Notepad++ is all fine.

So use Dreamweaver, if you find that is not to your liking, then use Notepad++.

Ultraedit is my favourite text editor, not free but free to try, and has lots of HTML coding assistance.
