Default New to MDS Development

Hi,
I'm new to the BlackBerry development platform, but I've been a .NET dev for years. I'm trying to write a simple push app with MDS and was wondering what components do I need installed on my laptop to make this happen.

Right now I have VS .NET with the BB plugin installed, I have a simulator running, but can't seem to get it all to work. Do I need BES installed even if i'm doing local development?

Thanks.

Everything you need for MDS Runtime development is included with the Plug-in, including the parts of the BES needed to support the app.

What are you trying to do and what happens?
