Default MS Excel in Blackberry

Hello friends,
I am new to blackberry. And I want to develop an application in blackberry which views/creates/edits/deletes MS Excel files in blackberry.

Is there any API, if yes then please tell me or if not then tell me the solution to this problem.

I have searched on google, but found ready to use applications like...eOffice, eFile Manager, Documents to go...etc. But i want to develop my own application rather than using the available

Look at apache's POI project which allows java programs to read and create microsoft office files. It's written for the full version of java, so could take major work to run on the micro edition. poi.apache.org
