Looking to create an app.. Where to begin?

I have everything downloaded, even tried the Hello World and couldn't get that. I am pretty sure BB's use Java which is completely a different language to me.

I am looking to create an app where people will buy it, it goes by their PIN, and they are able to look through a collection of items and download them whenever they want.

Sort of like the BB App World. - actually - EXACTLY like the app world.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi,

I'm just learning how to create apps too.

I started reading, Beginning BlackBerry Development by Anthony Risk.

I was able to get the "Hello World" app to work.

You will need to know Java and I have a lot to learn yet.

I know all of the stuff, the basic Hello World didn't even work for me. lol.

I may keep the project on the net and code some better PHP for what I really want.

The phone can handle JavaScript - but not jQuery which sucks. That is where an app would be VERY useful.
