Is it still possible to get the devcon preview of os2?

Yes, but before you do please note that it's not a "user beta", but a developer beta, without most of the apps and useful features. It's intended for developers to use to test their own apps, on the Android player or on the new versions of the Flash and AIR runtimes.

If you do install it as a user, you'll basically see a bunch of stuff missing that you're used to, and one useful addition: the ability to create folders on the home screen as part of a slightly modified way of managing the app icons.
