Lightbulb Developing BB apps in PHP, Java or ASP.Net

Hi,

I would like to introduced you the new framework for developing mobile application in Java, PHP or ASP.Net.

Its name is iPFaces and it is the mobile framework for simple creation of native, form-oriented network applications for mobile devices (iPhone, iPAD, iPod, BlackBerry, Mobile Java).

The aim of the solution is to screen the programmer completely out from the mobile platform itself, and transfer the entire application logic to central application server level. Developers with experience with one of the supported Web technologies (ASP.Net, Java, and PHP) may start working with iPFaces virtually immediately.

For more information, see the project web site at ipfaces.org where you can also find the simple tutorial how to create Hello World application and how to use GPS module.

iPFaces is distributed under GNU/GPL for community usage, client applications are distributed as Freeware.

BlackBerry Client Application can be installed in two ways: Over The air or with Desktop Manager.

It is kind of a browser, but aimed at native look&feel of platform it runs at. And despite the browser it can use specific functions of the device, which browser can not or is not allowed to, such as GPS, camera, compass etc. So it is not a browser, but a tool for developers to create native UI of mobile network applications more easily.

And you can test your application in your PC browser, because iPFaces supports test-mode.

Visit examples.ipfaces.org, where are examples. :-)

Or download client for BB and try it.

I like the idea a lot.

I am currently designing a full PHP website that is pretty much already done. My objective is to create something along the lines of the Blkberry App World app. That would be my goal anyway.

What I have right now is a blogging system (constructed using wordpress as a base) website that handles it pretty well. I would love to have it as an app instead of a website which will protect me from people from using someone else's login.

my project could be seen at Blackberry Themes

From what you described above, I wouldn't have a need for it. I did download and I am waiting for MVS to finish installing and then I will give it a whirl.
