So if developers just got their hands on a finished product to build for on tuesday, what is the timeline for more apps to start showing up? Obviously developing an app is way over my head, so I have no concept of how much work it takes. Just curious if we should expect to see them in a matter of days/weeks or is it more like months?

Theres no way to quantify a time, every app and every developer will be unique.

Youll see new apps every day.

either way, the approval process takes a few weeks for an application.

I have heard that the application process takes about 10 days but as Shao128 says it really depends on the app. AiFlex is waiting on aMail, aVNC and telnet to be approved

True it really depends on the app. Some get through really fast, some take more time. But at this time I'm pretty sure they're working on getting apps approved at light speed.
