Default Developer loads QNX Native SDK Code Onto BlackBerry PlayBook!

Developer Hacks QNX Native SDK Code Onto BlackBerry PlayBook! Provides Instructions - BerryReview

Quote:
Developer Adam Bell managed to beat RIM to the punch in figuring how to get native QNX SDK code to run on the BlackBerry PlayBook. Currently PlayBook developers are limited to the Adobe Air and WebWorks for development though RIM has announced and demoed a Native SDK along with Android and Java Player support. What Adam Bell managed to do is copy QNX apps developed using the QNX Nutrino Software Development Platform (SDP) and have them run!

He took an app that was compiled using the C/C++ native SDP invoking the cross compiler and copied it across to the tablet. At first he tried copying over the code using SSH with the devuser account in development mode but that did not allow the app to run due to permissions issues. He then learned that he could set the binary as executable and then zipped it up. He then copied it over to the downloads folder and unzipped it and then he could run the binary.

Exactly, not even close to jailbreaking, he just managed to run native code, for which the sdk will be available, and thats it, he didnt even poke the OS directly. Mods please change the thread title before noobs and trolls come swarming posting trash.
