I wanted to inform you all about a great opportunity for developers to help people discover, curate, and share their family history.

We’re looking for awesome, creative, useful apps that introduce new concepts or innovation in family history—whether it’s a new way to preserve new stories, discover relatives, or share memories from the past. As a prize, we’re awarding $5,000 to the developer who creates the most innovative, effective and intuitive application using the available APIs.
