I'm currently planning on buying a PlayBook to use as my school computer. The problem is, some things require a Windows program.
So what i'm doing is running a Virtual Machine on my Mac, and accessing it via LogMein.
I figured that this could be streamlined as a service:

A web server contains your entire Windows installation as a virtual Machine which you access via a form of VNC.
the VM is automatically suspended when you disconnect, but is ready fairly quickly once you reconnect.
Since it's a full blown OS you can build a SSH tunnel to connect it to your home network, or buy an adaptor that the company sells that will automate this process.
You can install any OS you wish, and pay more for the service if you want/need higher-end virtualized specifications.
you can also pay for a middle-man antivirus program, that allows you to set up the service for security-unaware friends & family
Companies can license the Server software so they can offer VM's to their employees.
You can access the server by the web browser, or install a viewer application that also allows the virtual machine to access the network the viewer is on (such as network printers, etc) or devices connected to the viewer.
Thoughts?
