Is the BB Clock locked off?

I have an idea for a app, actually its really just more of a setting tweak for the clock/alarm.

However, I didn't know if the clock app is one of the area that was blocked off to 3rd party developers. I know there is some kind of access, but it seems like everyone makes their own complete clock/alarm app to do what they want. I don't need to go that far, I just want to add something small to the current app. Is that possible?

You mean I have to download the software, figure out how it works and then see if its even possible? Oy.

I would like to know this as well, although I'm pretty sure blackberry has this inaccessible. If there was a way to "add on" to blackberries interface without having to write a whole new app, this would be great.
