App newb

I have absolutely no app development experience, but I'd like to try. Is it a lost cause starting with RIM or can a true newb learn (on there own) how to do it?

I'm in the same boat as you, there are plenty of free resources out there to get you started. Try academicearth.org to learn java and the blackberry developer zone for tools and utorials

I'm not overly impressed with the dev tutorials on the blackberry site, maybe its because I'm still learning java. Maybe I should start a thread for new to blackberry app development and the resources for it
