API for Excel Docs?

Hello friends,
I am new to blackberry. And I want to develop an application in blackberry which views/creates/edits/deletes MS Excel files in blackberry.

Is there any API, if yes then please tell me or if not then tell me the solution to this problem.

I have searched on google, but found ready to use applications like...eOffice, eFile Manager, eCell, dinoplex, eWord, GridMagic,Documents to go...etc. But i want to develop my own application rather than using the available ones...

Develop MS Excel for BlackBerry? That will be a beast of a first project, especially if it's urgent.

Solution to the problem = hire some programmers and spend a year on it at least.
