Update: Apparently our app crashes on the Z10 and I have removed from sale on BlackBerry World.

Will give update when the problem is resolved.

FYI, VideoFX is now up again on BlackBerry World with a special price only $1.99. System Software Version 10.0.10.xxx is required.

There is still a problem with the video preview screen on some filters. Colors are still "bleeding" thru the image but the recording is perfectly fine.

The problem will go away when BlackBerry release the System Software update which I do not have a timeline when it will be released.

Can't seem to find this mentioned anywhere in the app description or on your website, maybe its there but I couldn't find it, does VideoFX allow you to apply these filters and textures to videos that you have already taken, essentially becoming a video version of instagram, or is it only for videos taken within the app itself? Also, can filters and textures be applied after the video is shot or is it a "on-the-fly" application only?

Either way looks very interesting and I am going to keep my eye on this app for the next week or two.

VideoFX is a real time effect video app. Can you not use already recorded videos. Filter is done in real time to the video feed.

Can you please clarify your second sentence? Are you asking me if I can not use already recorded videos? Or are you stating that you can not use already recorded videos?

VideoFX is a video recording app and not a post video processing app.

not at this time since processing video is cpu intensive. What works best is use VideoFX to record and then use Story Maker to create cool full length videos.

OS 10.1 update

With BBOS 10.1 BlackBerry has finally fixed the bleeding bug.

If you have the leaked OS10.1 then VideoFX will work fine.

VideoFX looks like a great app! But I noticed it requires 10.0.10.85 OS in the instructions. I'm currently on Verizon and the most recent OS update we have is 10.0.9.42. It is available for me to download but don't want to buy the app of it won't work or even worse cause problems for my Z10. Has anyone on Verizon download the app yet?

You can wait for 10.1. BlackBerry fixed the gfx bug but then they introduced yet another problem with recording video size.

Version 1.1 is now available for OS 10.1 for Z10 and Q10.

This is the complete version with different recording screen size enabled. OS10.1 has fixed all the bugs in 10.0.

VideoFX is the ONLY realtime video filtering application and cool application.

A Trial version will be available shortly today. Please check BlackBerry World.
