This is a great app. I've been beta testing it for a few weeks now and I can't live without it. It's the best (only?) tasks app that combines such flexibility with the ability to easily create and arrange subtasks and recurring tasks.

I love the ability to set my tasks up in a tree structure. Plus, the ability to switch to To-Do List mode means no matter what my task organization I can see what's coming up next... priceless.

    And... it's native!

I am wondering if you can create a task out of an email? That is a very important function for me.

As of now, when I flag an item in my hub it automatically creates a task in the remember app.

Currently SlickTasks is not integrated with Email hub, but we found this is a very interesting feature and will look forward to implement this as a new feature for future releases.

Will Slick Tasks always have to be either open or an active frame in order to receive notifications or will this requirement dissappear once the headless app APIs are released.

I've noticed a problem in the recent version (not sure if it happened before). When I edit a recurring task (e.g. edit the "repeat"), it will often go to '3rd Tuesday' instead of what I choose. I always choose to repeat based on date, not the weekday so this is very strange.

Need anything from me to help you test this? Thx!

Sure, as soon as the API is released by BlackBerry we will update the app to remove the requirement.

Currently the default settings for recurring tasks is based on today's date, for example if today is 3rd Tuesday then it will default as 3rd Tuesday when you firstly set the repeat. We will make sure the recurrence's default settings is based on the task's due date if it is available in next update. Thanks Joe

Good to hear! Oddly enough, I am using something called Reminder Pro which is an Android port and that sends notifications to the hub even when the app is closed.

Android SDK contains APIs to schedule events (AlarmManager), which is supported by the BlackBerry's Android player, that's why Android ports are able to post notifications and reminder even if they are closed. Unfortunately, there is no equivalent BlackBerry 10 API at the moment

I have visited the web site but I am still not clear. We currently us gqueues for task management. I like the format of Slick Tasks but I am not clear on the sharing or collaborative features of the software. Can we set this up so that I can input tasks for each project - assign them to a employee and then share so they can complete the task and check the item off? Anyone care to elaborate on this for me please?
    Thanks in advance

SlickTasks web edition supports sending your tasks to your friends, these tasks will be added to your friend's list. However the status of the tasks is not shared between you and your friends yet.

Looks like a great app, I would be happy to pay $10 - its $10 for a tool to help manage your productivity.....
I will admit that I will wait until the status of the task is shared. In order to effectively manage a team, it is necessary to communicate the required task to an employee and subsequently receive feedback with both notes as well as the status. Keep up the good work - the UI looks great which is key

That's a bummer. Devs who simply ported their apps to BB10 are rewarded with access to the Alarm Manager whereas Devs like you who went the extra mile to create native apps are penalised. Where is the justice in that?

If I may ask, why the $5.00 increase in less than a month since the 1st post. At $4.99 it would have made the decision easier. It is a nice app but at this point I think I'll wait for 10.1 also to see if there are any similar features added to Remember.
