Android Browser security flaw could affect 50% of Android users

Not exactly a rogue third party app, mind you.

Arstech seems to be doing their home work, mind you, newer devices don't get this, unless someone installs that open source browser.

Doesn't the BB10 runtime also come with the Android Browser (used by some androids apps to carry out OAuth, and to display some web-based frames)? Hopefully this doesn't also affect us.

The stock AOSP browser is horrible since Google stopped putting development resources into it past 4.1, its the Windows XP of android browsers. Switch to Chrome since Google did for 4.2+..

You are correct it would be default browser and would be used by some android apps in some situations.

I noticed in 10.3 the stock BBX Brower is much more widely used.
