Default What works with WiFi?

Using wifi only on an Android, what will work?

Email?
Apps?
Contact and Calendar sync?

Will those still work using wifi only? Thanks! I'd like to keep my Bolt as a backup phone and keep the contacts on it current.

I believe everything works on wifi. I've never had any connectivity issues on wifi only.

Undecided! Either the 9930 or Samsung Galaxy Nexus (is that coming to VZW). I miss some things about BB but the cons outweigh the pros right now, and I'll probably be staying Android.

Either way, I want my Bolt as a backup device since I don't buy insurance. And I'd like it to stay up to date.

Yep! You'll get the Galaxy Nexus first, according to rumors.

Cool! I'll wait until it is out a while so I can read user reviews!

I keep my Droid X2 charged and on wifi since I've picked up the 9930. Everything still works like normal. There are still apps on it I use, but it's such a pain to maintain two phones.

I want the Galaxy Nexus too, but a 4.65" screen is huge! I just like the fact that I'll get updates first, and you can't beat the SAMOLED screen of a Samsung.

I know it's best to wait a while to see what others report about the pros and cons of the device. That's the best way to go.
As for me, I'm so excited about the Nexus, I'm not sure it I can hold off.

the WIFI works on everything. I am actually getting the new WIFI device to use on my laptop and can use it up to 5 devices. I have a 3G wireless USB and am upgrading. I had tried another 4G USB but for some unknown reason, it wasn't working with my laptop. It isn't outdated so don't know why. But this will work out great, even better cause now if I decide to get a tablet, it won't cost me extra using it. I will buy one outright though. I don't want to pay an extra 30.00 monthly using it. So if I purchase one outright don't have to worry about that !

I also had this question. I may be making a move to an android or iphone 4s. IDK what I'm going to do.

I even questioned keeping my BB and just getting the iphone 4s or droid razr using my discount. Anyone think this is a good idea? I'm wondering what would work on the 4s and the droid?
I'm assuming I could use email, imessage, general wifi browsing. I don't think siri would work. I could also use it basically as an ipod with a great camera and video.
Would their be any good uses out of a droid razr only on wifi?

Sorry OP for junking up your thread. I also needto find out what i can use.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the only thing you'd be missing on an Android by using wifi only is SMS messages..as well as Mobile Hotspot maybe? If you have wifi calling set up..you could still even have a functioning "phone" to make calls with.
