I would as well. This is one thing that would help me tenfold since I don't get good reception in my house. This is one of my complaints so far with My MyTouch3G.
This is a very old thread but I thought I'd add some news even if it may be very bad news....
If you Google UMA and Android there's a lot of rumors around June 2010 and earlier but nothing much later other than one Android phone that was supposed to have "UMAlight" whatever that might be but it arrived with no such thing....
Sorry but it appears the idea is either dead or.....???
I absolutely HAVE to have UMA and I've gone back to my BB 9700 because of it. I actually prefer the BB but I really wish I had the option, I'm not done playing with the Android yet..... <G>
