Samsung Galaxy S4 Release Date?

Heard a rumor about a release date or at least an announcement of a date in mid-Q1 2013. Hopefully, it will come loaded with JB, Super Amoled HD 5" display, a Quadcore processor, 2 GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 12 MP camera. It will hopefully come in black and have GG2.

Still love my GS3 but I am always on the hunt for the latest and greatest. The Note 2 was not my cup of tea as I have a Note 10.1. The rumor appeared on Android Authority in connection with a Samsung device with a 5" Super Amoled HD display being announced at an upcoming CES or some big event in Feb 2013. The device is rumored to be the GS4.

Totally agree. I've heard it so much. But, same here. Always looking for what's around the corner. Otherwise, I would still be using my 8700.

I won't be in line for a new Galaxy until the Galaxy S6 or 7 is out...hehe. It should have an octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. Internal mem should be 128GB with an MicroSDXC card slot compatible with 128GB cards. By then the display size with be around 6" on a sliver-thin body (maybe 5 or 6mm) with an edge-to-edge display to make it no larger than the current Galaxy S3 - the whole front face being all display with virtual controls like the Galaxy Nexus and ports through the display for FFC and sensors. The display should be sound-enabled where the display serves as 2 stereo speakers and able to isolate an ear-phone portion of the sound-producing display for hearing while held to the ear.

On top of this, the GS6 or 7 should have 4 or 5 finger display-on control doing away with a power button. Quick multi-finger tap of the display brings it out of sleep. A long multi-finger press of the display powers it on from an off state.

3rd quarter of 2013, MAYBE! That's a long way off, with plenty of "new releases" in between. BB10 devices, iPhone 5s, many new droids, whatever. I'm enjoying the heck out of my SGSIII, and i personally don't want to replace it for a long time. Just my opinion.

The only platform of interest is BB10 whose success will not only rely on its improvements but app developers but my GS3 may have spoiled me forever especially for GS4.
