How do i change the setting so i dont have the full panel at the bottom of the screen on the eris. I currently have the panel that displays "phone" in the middle and 1 button on each side. I just want the little tab like ive seen some people with. Had a brainfart this morning and cant figure it out! Thanks in advance!

Try a home replacement like home++.

If anyone was curious i figured out what i was looking for. What you need to do is turn off the Sense UI in the application menu. But...I switched it back because it started to lag more and it wasnt as cool as i thought ha ha.
