Default Phone Rants

I have used Blackberry, Android and Apple. I feel it is unfair for people to judge each phone by certain Criteria. So I'm going to say in my opinion I like blackberry very much for what I expect from a phone and a handheld mobile device. Here's my View. Android- I have used a Droid, Droid eris, Droid X, and LG ally. So my opinion is based off these four smart phones. What I like about these phones to jump right off the start were the Apps. Thousands of apps for free even! A big plus for using your phone for entertainment. Another big thing I liked was the web browser. It seemed to fit the phone perfect! Yet I didn't like it as much as the Apple. The Physical keyboard on any of the Droid models ( Alley and Droid) Were not close to the feel of the Blackberry Keys. But I see using a keyboard all about your preference not how it feels to the touch. But I prefer either and Blackberry takes the medal. Apple- LOVE the apps. My personal opinion apple wins that battle against Android. Media is also a lot better then Android and Blackberry. What can you expect? That was the Purpose to begin with. The Browser was fluent and the Flexibility of the pages to touch and swipe was incredible. If you're a Teenager or use your phone as a personal get away from reality. Iphone it up guys. Blackberry- I really never seen a Phone get bashed and beaten like RIMs Blackberry. The Memory, ram even Video and picture quality isn't up to par with either Android or Apple. So what makes this phone a competitor and something great? I had a 9530,9550,9330 and now a 9800. And the one thing that keeps me going is... You probably guessed it Email. I LOVE getting email and notifications pushed to my phone. Apps, resoulution and memory would be awesome for a blackberry device. Yet that I can say probably won't happen. Blackberry is designed for Email and sufficient communication between phone to phone or phone to computer.. This is what makes it great and why I love Blackberry.

Blackberry is no longer the leader in email or has the best email. You can get push email on virtually all clients via Corporate Sync or Gmail. What was the point of this thread? To say how great email on Blackberry is? I guess it's great when there isn't a three day outage.Try again

I recently got a 9700 to use for a second line. I put my gmail on it, which is my most used addy. I got gmail notifications on my Sensation and 9700 AT THE SAME TIME. And the emails weren't truncated on my Sensation .

I am HUGEE gmail user than ever... Why I need blackberry's email push or whatever as JD914 says BB email is no longer leader.... I am glad that didn't look back since HTC HD2 released.

I know you're trying to sound fair, and unbiased. And I do appreciate your listing of what devices you were using as litmus tests. But even then, not all makes of the same model are created equally. Having said this, I have to say, as far as media, Android takes the cake, because it'll play back almost all file types. The last I checked, iPhone doesn't have FLAC support, nor do I expect it to. But, as I said in other forums, I'll find out when I get my iPhone.
