    I'm actually surprised the number is that high considering the nature of this launch...only being able to buy it online, with next to zero advertising. I would imagine that number will skyrocket when it hits Verizon.

    agreed. i'm also suprised the droid sold so much! wow.. put the two phones together and they beat the iphone's launch. the android platform seems like its taking over

    It's funny but I never paid any attention to the Droid, heard about it but never looked closely. Now I thank god for the Droid because, imo, were it not for the Droid and it's success, there would not be a Nexus One. It really is the device that has paved the way.

    Interesting how the article completely doesn't mention that the sales were most likely off due to the choice of carrier that Google used (T-Mo) as well.

    Similar to iPhone, great phone, not so great carrier.
