Like the article says, you have to give the app access via privileges. This type of thing can affect android, BB or iOS really. These are the things that the USERS have to be careful about. Google is pretty good about take crap off the market but i did notice that some of these are still out there

How will Google's change in privacy policy impact being able to grant access to specific apps? My impression is that Google, as the parent but not the Android platform itself, does not play into it. One would still retain the ability to grant specific apps specific access.
While I may be quite persnickety about security, I don't think Google's new policy will impact situations such as granting specific apps access and the whole thing has been blown out of proportion.....am I getting the right impression?
Reason for my asking.....there is a Galaxy II Skyrocket with my name on it....want to make sure.....

lol another android for you eh?
It wont affect anything from my understanding. The new privacy rules they released affect the way all the current info they get is shared I think. Google is not collecting anything new that they havent had access to before.

I think that is the top of the line samsung. http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-skyrocket-review
I agree the main drawback might be ATTs LTE network being so new

What do you know of it? | I have a couple friends with the Skyrocket and they love it. I've not been able to play with one for very long, so I couldn't attest to the battery life. But it is most definitely a screamer. The display is simply beautiful, the LTE speeds were very fast (but that's more the carrier than the phone). When it gets its ICS update, it'll scream even more.

It DOES scream!!!!!! I end up selecting stuff I didn't want, it's so fast.
And none of that Motor Blur to deal with. I can tell this is even better than my Atrix.

I still would recommend a Nexus though. It is the best Android experience. |

I would recommend a Motoroa, nexus is cheap funk.....though you can play it like a cheap fiddle and run what you want. Don't expect killer graphics or signal.
