| | Looking for Android Phone
Hi,
My contract's up and I need a quick decision to get a phone (by 2 hours) that fits me. I was wondering if you guys, with all the vast knowledge of androids, and user reviews, could help me pick out one that's good for me: - Free with contract update (within 20 dollars)
- wifi capabilities (wifi calling also)
- Camera (with flash)
- Bluetooth
- Touch Screen (smooth interface)
- Good battery life
- Smooth Music Player
- Doesn't require data plan (can't afford)
- Can use apps without wifi or data plan
I would greatly appreciate your input and feedback. Thanks in advance!

I just called the t mobile representatives. They said that all smart phones require data plan now. I have a bb curve 8520, without data plan. I think it's ridiculous that I cannot get one without it.

I can't, unfortunately, because I'm with the family package.

Whats really ridiculous is wanting a smartphone and not wanting to have a data plan. Quote:

Free or under $20 pretty much leaves you out of a smartphone. I mean seriously what do you expect to get for that much? IMO you're asking for way too much.

I guess I'm ridiculous for having a smart phone without data plan already. What was it? 3 years ago? Sorry, buddy, I've had the smart phone without data plan about a year and a half.. I don't need a "dumb phone" because I'm "asking too much."
Wifi capabilities and touch screen is asking too much? You must be kidding me. Do you work for the phone companies? Did they pay you to say that? lol. We have tablets that don't require data plan that does the same thing, but I can't get a phone that does it? Sorry, in MY honest opinion, you're asking for way too little.

I'm sticking with my bb cause no other phone (without data plan) does what it does atm. Maybe when I get more money, i'll invest in a data plan, but that's out of the question right now.
Also, I don't need to get back to you, lol. I'll probably get a used smart phone off craigs or ebay. And I'll do it without data plan.
Oh, and thanks for everyone's help. At least some people aren't jerks when they help people.

Sorry, in MY honest opinion, you're asking for way too little. | There are basic phones that are touchscreen and have WiFi that don't require data. I remember the Nokia Neuron falls under that category.
