Perhaps they shouldn't bother with quad core just for the sake of saying they have one then, lol. I'm not really sure why you'd want the first gen tegra 3 with quad core and significantly lower network speeds. The one thing you probably can take advantage of is removed and they added in something that probably won't do much until a timeframe when the device is considered old. Going to be funny for the people who get to beta test this thing.

I totally agree. I have absolutely no use for a quad core device right now. I would definitely rather have LTE. Funny thing is, there was a recent poll done saying that the majority of people interested in upgrading are interested in 4G. This device will never have iPhone hype so the lack of LTE may hurt it. But I am sure you will have the biggest Android fans who are interesting in nothing but specs that will grab this real fast.

Until my smartphone has Xbox360 graphics and full console gaming experience (so I can use my smartphone as a full gaming console), quad core really means nothing to me. If my next device happens to be quad core, that wont be a primary reason for buying it.

Sounds like a battery killing proposition to me. Do people do autocad on their phones? I guess it's mainly for those games.

Most the games aren't gonna utilize tegra 3 in the early stages of the phone's life though...

But yeah, people are still signing new contracts for old smartphones re-released with LTE (single core even). They are just doing this to say "first", but it doesn't seem like that great of handset tbh...

Wow that's ridiculous. My Droid 3 is fast enough for me. Heck even an overclocked D1 at 1 GHz is all you really need for most Android uses.

Why are some of you being negative? I remember last year when we heard of dual core phones most of you were happily welcoming it. I don't know about you guys but the battery life on my Sensation is better than that of any single core smartphone I've had.

I'm all for better hardware. These crazy spec'd phones won't have the same architecture as our computers though but I'm happy to see them getting faster and faster each year. My next phone is gonna be a quad core. Hopefully something in the 4.3" screen size range.

Dual core phones were worthless for a long time after they were being produced.... The sensation itself released pretty late in the dual core cycle, not early
