Should be available outside the US at the end of September, unsure yet of America availability date or price.
Basically, just an upgraded Sensation with larger (1730 I believe) battery life, upgraded processor, etc.
I've seen some posts about decent at the minimum (if not better) battery life on the Sensation as it is.
Anyway, I have a question for all of you active in the Android community:
I currently own a BlackBerry Torch 9800. Before that a Curve 8900 and then a HTC 8925 running WinMo 6.1.
I am currently looking for my next phone. I had narrowed it down to the Torch 9810 (just a good upgrade to what I have) and the iPhone 5/4S/whatever it is called (as I own an iPod Touch and see the advantages that iOS can offer over RIM's offerings).
For whatever reason, seeing this phone today made me now consider this as a good option as well. The specs are excellent (imo), I enjoy using my phone for music, so the tuned audio system should help. The coloring...I fell in love with it and I don't know why. It looks like a very nice device.
Since I'm stuck, what are your thoughts on this phone as a good option for someone who uses their phone for practically everything now-a-days? This includes heavy internet, heavy social networking, heavy messaging, heavy email/text use, and moderate music/video use.
Thank you in advance, and any comments or thoughts on this particular phone is welcome as well!

Have you had a chance to play with Android before? Typing on the touchscreen isn't as bad as it would seem and that would be a big holdup over a physical keyboard until you get used to it.

I've only played with the Motorola Xoom tablet for 5 minutes; interesting, but (I'm assuming because it was an open tablet at Best Buy) was disorganized in terms of which screen applications were on.
In terms of touchscreen typing, I am use to it and am decent at it. For a while (before my BlackBerries), I was using my iPod Touch for email and didn't have any real issues on that screen typing.
As long as the keyboard is better than OS6, I'm set

The nice part is with Android there is a plethora of keyboards to use. I use Smart Keyboard because I've found it to be the closest emulation of the iPhone thus far IMO. Since you have used the iPod Touch you should be set.

All the while it has enough enhancements to make it my preferred keyboard.

Looks like a nice phone for sure. I personally like the 2.3 keyboard. I have used most the free versions and this takes the cake for me. Even like it over smart keyboard as I had a trail version of that and believe you have to end up paying for that one.
Is nice to have choices. With that said, I really do miss my bb kb.....was much faster on that, with less errors.

In all seriousness, I have the original Sensation and after the 2.3.4 update it's the best phone I've ever had. Before the update there were some odd bugs, but these were quickly squashed by the update, and now it's an absolute joy to use. This XE looks even better.

I do wonder, though, if the whole Beats thing is more than just a gimmick...

If it is higher quality speakers (external) and headphones, then arguably it's not a gimmick in that sense.

That looks like an impressive device. HTC without a doubt is at the top of their game. That's not a Super phone that's a Super Duper phone.

It's nice, but I still prefer Samsung to HTC.
