Is the HTC One X the current tip of the spear for Android? It seems to be getting a lot of news in terms of Android coverage. I haven't heard anything about Motorola's next flagships after the razr.

Motorola next device is rumored to be the Droid Fighter. Supposed to be a Razr Maxx with an HD screen.

Eh. Non-removable battery and no SD card slot is really a negative in my opinion. So i wouldn't call this positive progress.
Headed the way of the Apple. :(
Heard it has a killswitch type setup in case of freezeups and whatnot. Won't be able to switch out to a higher capacity battery, which sucks.
If they offered them with 16g/32g/64g.....might work well, but miles well slap an Apple logo on it though.
Well an Apple on steroids, lol!

I can do without the sdcard slot, but not the removable battery

Removable batteries and SD cards aren't as big of an issue to me anymore. Simply because there's more than enough internal memory in the devices now, and the only reason I ever pull the battery is to get to the SD Card.
Yeah, I might be able to do without removable battery.
New HTC EVO LTE looks nice.
Ya, has an SD card and a bigger battery. Only things I don't like are the glossy back and change in name. Should have called it the EVO X.
I take your acceptance of the latter has something to do with the notion: by the time the battery's dead, it's about time to get a new phone, no? I see it from this perspective; I don't know about your view of it, though. TIA
Whenever I travel somewhere i take two batteries... Having to rely on a charger and not being able to swap in an already charged battery is not something I care to do...
I used to think a non-removable battery would be a deal breaker for me, but I cannot remember the last time I pulled the battery out of this thing. The sd card could still be a deal breaker.
One thing about Android, you don't have to wait long for the next big thing. Personally I'm waiting to see what the Incredible 4g brings to the fight.
You mean HTC EVO 4G LTE? It looks really good, I hope I can get one now.
I prefer to HTC EVO 4G LTE although it looks the same to HTC One X.
I can do without the removable battery on an iPhone, but not on Android. There is no way in I would be able to go through a full day with ease with the stock battery anymore. My iPhone 4 lasted all day without a problem and the same type of usage. With the extended battery on my Galaxy Nexus, I can get the same usage.
The only way I would even consider it is if it has the most powerful hardware and the best battery life. Otherwise, I will never buy an Android device without a removable battery. Ever.
No SD slot means nothing to me. 32GB on my Galaxy Nexus is more than enough space for what I need, and the cloud is always an option. Same on my iPhone, never had a problem with just the internal storage.
The Incredible 4G seems like it is going to be a budget device with the rumored price of $99-$150. It seems like the One S.

4 inch screen as well.Packing 1GB of RAM internally and a mere 8GB of internal storage, and it will be powered by a 1.2GHz processor as well. The device should feature an 8MP shooter on the back, and have Beats Audio support, though no headphones included. Unlike the HTC One X, the Incredible 4G will have a user removable battery and battery door. While nothing is firm, their tipster suggests we could see this device in the $99 - $149 price range on contract. Here's to hoping we see this device hit officially sooner than later.
I frankly am waiting for the SG III and the new iphone to make a decision. The One x looks beautiful tho.
Can this device be unlocked? I have never had a android cell but been thinking about this one till bb10 comes out!
Rite now only rogers has it avalable and I'm with bell, like to pic it up today.
Thanks
Yeah, but you'll likely have to root it to unlock it. Or you could get the international unlocked version which should work on Bell.
What's root mean? Lol

Rooting allows you to have Super User access to your device. It gives you full control over your device.
