    Like the tittle says, the OTA is disabled when you are rooted correct? So what is the process if you want to try the official 2.1? Do you wait for someone to post the ROM?

    Correct. It would be as simple as someone posting a nandroid backup of their Droid after the update.

    The "official" 2.1 is already here. The ese53 sbf has been out for a couple weeks now and us the same build they will be releasing ota except it came rooted...
