You probably don't see or hear about it on BB devices cause it's really quite pointless.

Unless that is your thing ya know.

Mostly because the OS design will not allow you to adjust the clock speed.

If you are doing things that require a lot of CPU power like gaming, flash or just want to check benchmarks then yes. You will notice a snappier OS as well. It is not necessary, but techy people just like to play with their devices a lot.

is that why we own androids? I just thought it was because we are silly people who worry about silly things.

Meanwhile back on the farm.... I wonder if they will start putting fans on the phones to draw air over the processors so we can go bigger/better...

lol. Yea being silly has its benefits.

I would love for them to do that, but devices would probably be too fat for my liking. Maybe some micro liquid-cooling?

So he slides both the max/min sliders all the way to max, and yet it still says 3000 max, 300 min? I'm gonna call shenanigans on this, his phone took 10 seconds to go from terminal emulator to his homescreen, and his launcher was stuttery as all ****. Oh, and the dev of setCPU said its a hoax.

If you've ever used Set CPU, you'll know the minute he opened it, it said 3000, yet the slider was all the way to the left. When you open Set CPU, it shows your current speed. He slides the slider all the way to the right in that video, and it still says 3000. Yeah, I think I'll call BS.

It seems like the highest my x is able to go is 1.2 Ghz. Anything above that and the phone is unusable and slows to a crawl.
