Does Google talk on the Droid use text messages or run over the data? I just switched over from a Blackberry and am used to the free messaging. I only have 500 messages a month to non Verizon friends and thats where BBM came in handy. Could I just have them download Google Talk on their Blackberry and not use texts?

Google talk is data, not text. Just like BBM no need to worry.

google talk does not use your text messaging plan it sends and recieves over data.
