Amazon's Android app has quietly been removed from Google Play

I would laugh if Google cites "security reasons." But we all know the real reason.

Strange that it was ever approved in the first place. Not so much that it was pulled.

Why would any company provide an app that encouraged it's users to buy the same products they sell from someone else? That would be like going into best buy and seeing a bank of computer terminals setup to help you shop on ebay.. it's just..

If you want to use amazon prime instant video you need to download the amazon version of the amazon app from the amazon app store and then the prime instant video app from the amazon app store. So I have google play and the amazon app store (downloaded from amazon) on my nexus 6. It isn't just BB that needs amazon for some apps even if it is just one it is an important one to me.
