Gmail issue

This is very weird and customer care has no real answer and two reps in the store have told me it is normal.....yet I didn't have this problem on the Incredible I asked this in Android Central and no real answers either.

This is getting on my nerves and I don't remember when it started but I think after the original Gingerbread update. I have done everything and nothing helps......even tried K9 email and still doing it.

While I am typing an email I get a pop up and it says MESSAGE SAVED IN DRAFTS
as I am typing my email. And it happens more than once while typing it.
doesn't happen in text messages just in email.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Does it happen immediately? I just tried typing out an email and I didn't get a pop up.

after a few words it will pop up and it does it randomly throughout my typing an email.
Very annoying and irritating. No one can give me a solution or a reason for it happening. Settings are fine and can't find the reason......

Ok I stopped some syncing and now it seems to be ok. it is really weird. Have sent 3 emails and seems to be ok. this has been going on tho for a long time. I just couldn't take the answers the reps were giving me. This can't be normal. never had this happen with BB, or the Incredible and when I first got the TB never had this happen....got it August 30th. Seems to be have been acting up when I got the gingerbread

why not give a try hotmail app or yahoo mail app?

I have never had that happen on mobile gmail or the gmail app, but on your computer gmail website, it auto saves what you are typing every 30 seconds or so. I'll bet that is what you are seeing but I don't know how to stop it on mobile.

The "Message saved in drafts" message usually occurs when the gmail app loses focus before the email is completed and sent. ie, phone call came in, opened another app, pressed Home instead of back button to exit out, etc..

Do you perhaps have a background service/app that is stealing focus from gmail? It sounds a bit as if while you are composing an email, a process is stealing focus for a moment while you're typing, then gmail gets the focus back almost instantly, but there's no visual indication beyond the message you're seeing.

I've never seen this issue before, so I'm just guessing.

Are you using a 3rd party keyboard? Sometimes those can act a bit wonky with some apps.

I had to do a factory reset. I had tried stock keyboard first. Did all kinds of things. Clearing data Ans cache. Reset seemed to work. So far!
