    sadly, it varies across devices/OS revisions. It can be done through an app, or if you have a specific ROM embedding the feature (MIUI does it by holding the menu key and the up volume button; my specific ROM has it in the Power options menu).

    Try pressing the power button and then tapping the home button while the power button is still pressed. That's how it works on the Sensation after we got the 2.3.4 update.

    Screenshots should be done the same across the board. Android fragmentation even affects stupid little things like this. Not a big deal, just kind of stupid. Every Android device has a power/standby button and home button. Google should make it universal.

    You haven't seen fragmentation until you've tried two Linux distros; and there are plenty of them.
