galaxy s2 hdmi plug

My wife just recently got the galaxy s2 and was wondering how to hook it up to HDMI to the tv to watch Netflix? she has the HDMI adaptor but when she hooked it up to the tv and played something from Netflix it didn't go through the tv. are we doing something wrong?

Is it the correct adaptor though? I believe the one you need is the MHL cable..

Samsung Galaxy S II supports HDMI-out, after all, and can have live TV streamed to it

I'm not sure. Her gs2 actually didn't come with the plug but we tried using the one that came with my infuse.

Ya..that's probably why then. Sounds to me like it has to be a specific cable in order to get the HDMI mirroring functionality.

You need the mhl adapter and you need to have the phone connected to the wall charger.
