| | Galaxy S2 battery life
Firstly I'd like to apologise if this has been posted before.
On monday i took the path too android and got my galaxy s2.
when i got back home it had charge so i used the charge to about 29% and then put it on charge over night.
tuesday it seemed to be okay then tuesday night i charged it to 90% drove home and used my phone all night till i went bed and charged it, woke up today and ive been lightly using it since 8 am and its now 10:30am and im already on 83% .
i have Juice defender installed on balamced profile, i have my data manager installed.
GPS off
Wi fi off
Facebook set to refresh every 2 hours
Background data on
Auto sync on
Could my battery be faulty? as ive been reading lots of forums and peoiple have been saying they are getting like 14 hours out of their battery.....
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to improve it or should i go back to the store and get a new battery ?
Thank in advanced

Android phones are known for having absolutely terrible battery life. My suggestion is go back to the store and get a 9900.

It had a few bugs, so I went back to my previous Android phone until the Prime comes out.

My Bionic, with extended battery gets TONS more battery life than my Storm2. Are you basing your comment about how "android phones...terrible battery life" on the Thunderbolt? It depends on which phone and what size battery and how you have it loaded down with apps and how much you use the goodness of Android phones to browse, game, and watch video--something that's barely do-able on BB phones.

Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk | The Prime is looking sweet! Rumoured 4.7" screen with 320dpi resolution! I'm definately waiting anxiously for more info on this one..

Thank in advanced | Use the phone for a few days and let the battery do its thing. The battery life will get better.

Drain the battery 3 times in a row and it will break in. It is similar to not overrevving a car for the first like 500 miles. Also, use your browser for FB because the app is a battery hog IMO. It is just as easy to use the browser and just check FB that way. It works just the same. I use the Dolphin browser and it has a FB link right as you fire it up on the speed dial list. If you want chat just download Beejive.

Also, my Droid 3 gets through the day just fine unless I fire up Netflix or Angry birds. Just remember to stop playing with it and turn the screen off when you are done.

Thank in advanced | I own a Galaxy S2, and the first 2 days, battery life was so so, but after that, it has been great. Do not completely discharge a lithium ion battery! Do a search for proper care of lithium ion batteries.
I am a moderate, sometimes heavy user. Today, my battery is at 57%, with 13 hours and 21 minutes of use.
WIFI off
GPS off
Bluetooth on
I use task manager once or twice a day to clear out ram and any running programs. I have sync on, facebook checking every 30 minutes. Everything stock.
If you are hooked on Angry Birds, then you better keep a charger nearby!
