Thanks this phone could be the phone that moves me off my trusty workhorse 8330 depending on how well it performs and the build quality.

Verizon Wireless Samsung Fascinate training documents leaked « Boy Genius Report
This cant be right. The document says the DX has 256MB of RAM while it has 512MB. I hope the Fascinate has the same specs as the rest of the Galaxy S line... If not, that kind of sucks. - 08-26-2010, 05:43 PM #7
I kind of want a fascinate. I got a chance to play with a vibrant and that thing is and feels ridiculously thin. More so than the x because of the tapered edges. It's the perfect size, but still has the cheap plasticy feel, touchwiz and way too much preloaded Verizon crapware.

Are there roms already developed for these? I am really hoping that this phone can replace the D1 for me. I am spoiled at this point though with customization. Not to mention that going back to 2.1 would suck!

Looks like BB is taking preorders soon. That Sept 12th release date might be looking accurate.

Nice looking phone, there's alot of chatter about Telus getting a Samsung Galaxy S variant (the Fascinate) and I have doubts it'll happen since they already got the HTC Desire, but Telus will certainly get the Galaxy Apollo which is a low end phone. From the looks of that article, Verizon might have exclusive dibs for that model for a while.

Excellent! Now I can finally dump my dated blackberry and get my wife off that POS At&t network and iPhone.

It's up to you. Personally, I would (and am) keep the X if you already have it. The X has the best battery life out of any Android device out right now, and a very nice large screen. Go look at one of the other Galaxy S variants on other carriers and see if you like it better.

O ordered the X and received it through the phone. Can I just take it to a corporate office and switch it if I wanted to and not deal with the shipping if I was going to do it???

If that 384MB of RAM is true, that's a huge letdown. It makes absolutely no sense that they would gimp this version like that. This device may not be able to support Gingerbread officially if that's the case, but I know the hacking community will have something to say about that.
