Default The EVO's are sold out everywhere.

Damn. I've checked from here in OK to Dallas, TX now i'm going to check San Antonio since i'm heading down there this weekend. Did HTC and Sprint not think that the demand for this phone was going to be this big or something?

Strange I heard that Sprint expected a big turn out for this phone and got enough phones to meet demand. I guess they've must've underestimated it

I think so. I even called Sprint and they said they had over 300K on back order.

Lol. Good one. I'm not in the Android family yet. I'll just have to wait till I can track one down.

Let me get this right, are they going to let you walk out of a bestbuy with that phone for 199? Don't they have a policy where you have to activate the phone in the store?

Not sure. I know two of my friends bought theirs at Best Buy and it was activated there. Plus they instantly do the rebate.

I called every sprint store, best buy, and radio shack within 50 miles on Friday and everyone was sold out. Went into sams club to get a few things and asked the guy at the kiosk there. Sold out, but some guy just returned a evo 30 minutes before I got there. The guy called his DM to ask if I could get the phone. Not only did I get the phone but they put me on top of the list,
so when a new shipment comes in, I will go exchange this one. The thing is, this phone looked brand new, absolutely nothing wrong with it. This phone is awesome. I was about to give up on the evo and just get a bold 9650. Glad I didn't.
