Pretty similar phones but I would probably prefer sense ui over motoblur .... you just might have to wait a few weeks though.

this question also depends on when the op is looking to make the switch. droid2 or droidpro might also be around the corner.

the incredible has a optical trackpad and not a trackball. nexus has a trackball. the droid x doesn't have a release date yet. haven't seen the new motoblur, so can't really comment on that, but senseui is pretty sweet.

the droid x is physically larger than the evo, which is already a big phone in itself, so if size matters make sure you handle the phones first.

stock for stock they'll probably perform very similar.

I'm going with the Xtreme, and from what I have read it may have ninja blur which can be disabled; if you want to enjoy the naked android experience.

they are basically the manufacturer's wrapper that they put over the plain android os to add their own features. it's like skinning an app, except they do it for parts of the entire os.

I went with the incredible coming from the storm 9530. I made the switch before I read any rumors of the Droid X coming out (this was back in May). I am loving the incredible but the extra screen real estate seems like it would be nice.

Anyone know for sure when your 30 days begins? Order date, ship date, activation date? Could play a part in whether I can even wait or or not for the X

Just return the Incredible and reactivate your Blackberry.

I know it will be hard to go back to your BB, but the wait will be worth it.

I am eligible for an upgrade on July 14th and will have the same decision. I've played with the Incredible and like it. The Droid X looks cool but it does look huge, I'd give up some real estate for a phone to fit better in my pocket.

Either way I am getting a sweet phone come mid July.

False. Not 1ghz snapdragon on the Droid X . The droid X has a completely differrent processor, a 1ghz armv7 processor.

look at the benchmark. the Droid X, aka shadow, smokes the Incredible and they're both on 2.1. Incredible would only be better if size is the concern

Not sure which one to go with myself. I'm partial to keyboards but and the screen shots of Motorola's Droid 2 looks like they kept the keyboard format -- no row of number keys -- will make me think twice about getting it. I've played/borrowed the Moto Droid and am definitely not crazy about the hardware keyboard sans number row. The stock touchscreen keyboard is frustrating to use.

The Engadget video of Droid X's multi-touch screen looks sweet. It almost makes me want to go keyboard-less. It does look like a monster phone though... bigger than the EVO. I suspect you need to carry spare batteries and have your charger with you at all times.

Actually from reports (leaks and Engadget's preview) it's actually equipped with "Ninja-blur", a modified version of Motoblur that from reports works far better than what was introduced with the Droid.

I'm going to hold out for some reviews, but I think it's the "X" for me. ****, by the time Verizon gets around to fulfilling Incredible orders, the "X" will have already hit.

i'm in a similar boat my friend. NE2 is 8/15...really like the incredible but this is a tempting device. I'm just concerned it might be too big....but at least by 8/15 i should have my choice of the incredible, X, and droid 2...

I am a long time blackberry user / owner my first was the sexy old blue lol and I still have in my possession both the 8100 & 8130 the Tour and both storms I'm laying this down with the Storm 2 and I love it but with the OS problems and hardware issues I have been watching and trying to understand all I can about the Droids lineup and the X is my kind of phone porn lol but are they in your opinion and this is going out to everyone are they as stable as everyone says they... And on top of all that I'm really gonna miss my BBM....

The Droids are trying to get bigger to compete with the iPad now. There are several phones (including a Dell unit) that are gonna be 4 to 4.5 inches coming out. If you can (literally) handle more square inches maybe wait. The new phones will not offer anything better in terms of features/performance though. Is bigger better?

Well, if you can handle charging your phone several times a day, yes. And I definitely can. I keep my blackberry on a charger throughout most of the day at home (just not at work, but car charger for emergencies), and blackberry's don't even need to be charged that often. Then again, the screen is less than half the size of these newer Android phones these days.
