Droid X and GMail a must?

Is the only way to change a Gmail account on this phone to reset it? I have 2, one I use for junk and one I use, but I can't delete either as it says that it is required for some applications. What the deal?

Did you set up your phone with the good gmail account? If yes you can add the other or both to the native email app. I don't use my gmail app and have it set for no notifications and I have not had issues. And you can log out of the gmail app and log back in with different email name but that would he too much trouble every time you have to check mail.
