Default Droid 4 keyboard

How is the keyboard on the Moto Droid 4?

Actually idk if it's out yet. But it looks really nice and the phone arena review said it's really good.

I'm curious how it compares to the Bold 9900's keyboard.

It was out either today of yesterday. I'm actually curious about that too. Love my Thunderbolt but not having a physical keyboard is a pain.

I've yet to see any keyboard close to the 9900s....

The wife picked up a D4 yesterday and I got a G-Nexus. The D4 keyboard is nice, but something about a portrait keyboard just doesn't work for me. There's too much side-to-side movement. You have to stretch your thumbs out extra far. It would be better for me if the keys were split and pushed to each side. But for general feel the D4's keyboard is nice. Though I'd prefer the 9900/9930.

I'm surprised at how fast I am with the G-Nex KB. In portrait mode...I'm faster than with my old 8530 and about the same number of mistakes. The ICS KB is a lot nicer (to me) than the Gingerbread KB.

I know this is from an Android site, they are calling it "The King of Qwerty's".
Motorola DROID 4 Review: King of the QWERTY | Android Community

Ordered this phone for my wife yesterday, she is coming from a Droid 2; prior to that a BB Tour. I asked her if she wanted to go back to BB and she said heck NO!

Therein lies the problem, "king of the android qwertys" doesn't say too much.
