    Anyone configured their Hotmail account? If so, is it comparable to this other posting I saw for yahoo?

    you should try to set up your Yahoo account via IMAP following the next steps:

    - Go to mail icon
    - Add account
    - Enter email address in email address filed ([email protected])
    - Enter password at password field
    - Select MANUAL SETUP not next
    - Select IMAP
    * username= [email protected]
    * password = yourpassword
    * IMAP server= imap.mail.yahoo.com
    * port = 143
    * security = none
    * optional = blank
    - Select NEXT

    You will then be prompted to sign in do so.

    Will then be taken to the SMPTP settings which only prompts (going form memory) you for address which is smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com. leave the port as is. Then select NEXT. Sign in. Name your account and thats it.

    Security type = SSL
    Server port 995

    outgoing mail server: smtp.live.com
    login required = yes
    security type = TLS

    Does maildroid sync the account with the server? Like if I delete an email on my phone will it delete it on hotmail.com?
    Just trying to get as much information as I can before I switch to Android.

    Yes it does. the only problem with hotmail is the same issue i had with my BBs. If you read a email, it doesn't show read on hotmail. But everything else works great.

    Just wanted to clarify one point and that is Hotmail is POP3 and by default you can't sync read/unread or have access to custom folders you created within Hotmail. This is not a limitation of MailDroid (or BB), but is a limitation in POP3.

    If you have any questions in general on MailDroid, just send me an email.
