Are there any Android phones that are VZW quad band, i.e. have the ability to be used both in North America (CDMA) and Europe.
I would be seriously thinking of leaving BB Storm 9530 at and of my contract in December if any Androids are quad band. From my limited reading that does not appear to be the case unfortunately, but if anybody has information to the contrary, I'd like to hear it

That's what I thought. Does anyone know of any upcoming phones which would have quad band capability?
Thanks to all for any heads up

Skype requires data, hence the need for quad band.

No data access overseas equals no Skype

Just keep your Storm as a backup and reactivate when needed for travel. My Curve 8330 backup gets reactivated when I go to the beach, and boy do I miss the droids browser.

That may be the best solution to my problem
    Thanks for this

Resurrecting the thread with the same question:
Are any of the new or upcoming Android phones global capable?

Please exclude the Droid Pro as feed back on that model has been uniformly negative.

    Thanks

The Droid 2 Global is out now...but other than the Droid Pro, there are no other current ones.

What "uniformly negative" comments have you heard about the Pro? This phone has been as reliable as my 9650 when I had it.

Sorry - should have been more specific. The 2 people that I know that got the Droid Pro complain constantly about random freeze-ups and othe reliablity problems. Not exactly a scientific sample, but there you are
    YMMV

Haven't heard about Inc S being a world phone. Are you sure?
A quick search on Google didn't shed light on the issue
