Default Android users outraged over Motorola's broken promise - CNET

Android users outraged over Motorola's broken promise | Mobile - CNET News

Might be a good opportunity to go to this article and comment on how RIM is telling people upfront that the BB7 devices will not handle BB10 and how
RIM is going to support the current version of the Playbook for a while.

Shame on moto for breaking their commitment. But how well would ICS run on the older phones?

Yeah I think so. So it might be ok on the Photon. I know on my RAZR Maxx its not as zippy as the previous OS.

Nah, most people don't care. Most people are on GB, and are happy with it. Plus, if you really want to upgrade an Android device, you can (for the most part).

Having said that, this sucks, and I think Google will have to deal with non-Nexus upgrades sooner than later.

    It would run perfect.

My atrix runs cm9 and its very fast and incredibly stable. Arguably my favorite rooted device.

When the best thing that Rim owner can go into the comments about othr devices and crow about is that "at least my I was warned that my bb was dead" things are sad. What has it been a year and a half?

I refuse buying any products from Motorola present and future. a lousy Motorola made by third world (arab/ middle eastern/ east India).. Plus they can't fix Android OS bugs, meanwhile dont understand android code language. that's why they abandoned its update pledge.

They deserve to be outraged but also can fault themselves. If they knew about updates they could've researched more thoroughly and got a galaxy nexus to at least get timely updates
