Recently switched from BB to Note 2 and noticed I seem to miss calls alot. I never hear a ring or beep and they aren't even in my log.... And yet I will have a voice message from someone who called. I was wondering if with android if you are fiddling with the phone on internet or using an app when someone calls, are you going to miss a call? It always seems to happen when I'm on email , texting or doing something else on the phone. i'm just used to my BB ringing through no matter what I'm doing and always logging the call no matter what.

I have an S3 and that seems wrong to me. I think my phone interrupts me for calls no matter what I'm doing.

My SGS3 always interrupts me when I'm using it and a call comes through, although sometimes it does produce a delay of a couple seconds. Like I'll be typing something out and suddenly my phone will freeze for a second or two before the ring comes through.

The Note 2 can't do simultaneous voice and data over EVDO. It can do it over LTE, but not EVDO.

I'd suspect the issue may just be a coincidental problem with your carrier. Android phones will always interrupt any app you are currently using when a call comes in. It should also supercede any data connection you may be using as well.

Mine don't interrupt me on a call because I set them not to using Light Flow. It means I can be quite granular with my notifications.

We have 3 different Android based phones in my house--Note, GS3, GS2 skyrocket. When we get calls, the answer/decline screen interrupts everything. We're on AT&T

Could be device. Could be carrier...OR...it MIGHT be your sound volume...not being an A-hole...I'm no Android expert or anything, but I have noticed (on my old Dinc2 and my S3) that I will always accidently hit the volume rocker...I downloaded "simple sound profile widget" to help out with this problem...with it you can set up volume profiles for any occasion and with two click can set them (puts a notification up in your tray)

I had this issue a lot on my Droid Razr Maxx. I had the Droid Incredible and Thunderbolt prior to the Maxx, and they didn't have that problem. So far I'm not having the issue on my Note 2.
