| | Android has too many apps!
Too many app choices! Am I the only one that feels like this at times?!
So I can't sleep partly because I have a list of things to do tomorrow, my one day off. I don't want to forget somthing so I did a search for "To Do" in the Android Market.
Wow! About 14,000+ results! Too many choices. I don't know where to begin or which to pick.
Ended up downloading the stock HTC Sense Notes app. It is terrible.
I often feel a bit overwhelmed when searching for an app. Same with a password app. I don't know which is best, trusted, free. Some say free and they are really trials.
Sleepless in Androidland.

Couple of things I do when looking for apps: - I check Android Forums, Android Central and XDA. Peer review is powerful, and helps me weed out the pretenders. Plus, XDA sometimes carries free apps for members only.
- Look for cross-compatibility... if i used the app on BB, it's a good start. A lot of my core apps are BB/Palm ports.
- Look for combo apps and established apps.
IMHO, there are only really 8 or 9 good task apps on the market. Have you checked out Astrid?
Do you use an online task manager?

I like gTasks. There is a gadget, for it, that you can add to your igoogle page, and everything you type into it, on your computer, automatically syncs to your phone.

Thanks guys. It is def different than BlackBerry, where you ask, " what is the best weather app?" And 50 people all reply "BerryWeather!" Haha
Also, I get nervous because I do not want malware of course.
I Don't use an online task manager as far as I know. I just have my phone. I am looking at laptops today though for school!

I always look for the ones with quite a few downloads, as well as having a high ratings.

I use ColorNotes, it has an option for making your notes different color stickies as widgets on your homescreen. Also offers both text and lists as an entry option. Lists are nice for To Do Lists or Shopping Lists, as it adds each item with a box next to it, and as you do your item you tap it and it crosses it out. https://market.android.com/details?i...9sb3Iubm90ZSJd

One thing i took away from my Palm/BB days was my need for access to my to-do list from as many points as possible. My cell device is my main driver, but I also want to be able to get to them from anywhere with online access.
This way, if I change platforms, lose phone, don't feel like getting off the Nook Color, etc, I can still get to my tasks from any device with an internet connection.
Thus, I use Producteev, which syncs OTA with Astrid. When I feel like going the GTD route, I use Toodledoo, which syncs with a number of Android apps.

I LOVE app choice! there is not a single iOS app that I have on my touch, that I haven't been able to get for my Android. Android Market shows I have 72 apps installed. what a refreshing change from the lousy app choice for the Storm, which is even more limited than for older BB's.
I must say that one app stands out in my mind for making me NOT despise my bionic--NoLock. Without that, it was a PITA to unlock the phone to take calls, etc. With NoLock, when a call comes in, I just hit the green "button".

The top downloaded and then check the reviews is usually my M. O. There are alot to sift thru. The first page that pops up usually has the one I end up getting.

I do use B Folders! Only one I found that stores PWs on the phone and not in a cloud!

Ascendo is another option for passwords. Not free, but I used it since my BB days.

I see I can sync B Folders with a PC. How can I then get that file onto a BlackBerry? I do not think i can import with Password Keeper.
Also, I downloaded Evernote. Nice so far! Love that it is available cross platform. I will soon have a BB along with my Android.
