Default Android Calendar

Does it work the same as the Blackberry ie can I do meeting invites, same as the invite attendees like on the Blackberry?

It's ok. Still not as good as BlackBerry though.
You can send invites fairly well, but it's not as good as BlackBerry in regards to receiving invites.
They've made updates to the calendar system it seems.
Now when i receive an invite it's automatically added to my calendar.
The part I don't like is that I have to search for the invite to see when and where it was actually added to my calendar.

I use Google Calendar to set up appointments. And Pure Calendar Grid widget to view. Works great.

HTC's calender app is nice. The stock one (I'm running CM7 right now) is kind of lacking visually, but it gets the job done and does let you invite and such.

AOSP is simply KISS (no, doesn't mean keep it short and simple...)

Google Calendar automatically syncs between your desktop (web ver.) and your phone's calendar. I use Jorte (free downloaded app) to customize my calendar widget/viewing, and I can also set up new appts and edit them through the phone using this app. It's seamless.
