    The error msg i get is Gmail relies on Google Play services which is not supported by the device.Contact manufacturer for assistance. I'm using a blackberry q10.i have installed Google play store. please help me resolve this issue.

    The even more complete answer is that Google Play Services are relied on for a number of Android apps and Play services is not supported in the Android runtime on BB10 devices. This is because Play Services require access to certain hardware-level services that the host OS (ie BB10) will not relinquish control of. Because security.

    Yes, google play with be on priv but that's because it's running Android software. Q10 is not. Many apps on the Google play store aren't able to work on the other devices running OS 10 due to a software compatibility as mentioned in the above post. Kind of hoping that changes. Lots of great aps on Google play.
