Waze 3.9.7.0 (11-25-15 update) is crashing and closing left and right on my Z30. Had to revert back to previous version (3.9.6.0), which works fine.

Just a Public Service Announcement - and curious if others are experiencing same.

How did you get back to the previous version? I'm back to the BB10 store version ...as the update was crashing on me too. I spent 2 hrs trying to get it to work...

Mind sharing the apk or link?

What do you use for Google Apps? I use Snap, and it is set to save the APKs. I just went to my APK save folder and loaded the previous one.

Well, that may prove to be an increasingly troublesome strategy, as more and more apps will require a later version of Android then what is provided by the BB10 Runtime. You might want to keep at least one version back when updating. Just a suggestion - unless you are running out of space on your SD card.

I have never had trouble finding old apk's all over the Internet. There are plenty of websites that store them. Only apps that are very unpopular that I'm afraid won't work in later updates do I keep the old apk file.

Whatever makes you happy. Of course everything is available on the Internet. My point is that an increasing number of apps will fail when you update them, and it's pretty harmless to save one version of an APK as you update to the next. Unless of course your SD card is full. If you'd rather search out the previous version, it's OK by me. It was just a suggestion since he came back here to ask where to find the previous version APK.

That link now takes me to the installer for 3.9.7 (have that, watch it crash, don't want it). Don't seem to see 3.9.6 anywhere these days...

Did you try scrolling down and putting "Waze 3.9.6.0" in the search bar on that page? Took me only a few seconds to find it.

You can install the Amazon version. that works ok and is usually a version or so behind the Google released version.

    I had the same issues.

I wasn't even content with the 3.9.5.3 that I pulled off of my Z10 (thru 1mobile's Backup)... I wanted the 3.9.6 back again, that I overwrote (sans backup) on my Z30 with 3.9.7. Going back to 3.8.x wouldn't cut it for me... and the native version is a sad joke, over two years old. Yes, I'm aware that's when they quit supporting BB entirely... had a lengthy email discussion with one of their developers about a year and a half ago. Tried to convince him that they needed to stay in the game, if we were ever going to have a prayer of building critical mass. Clearly, that didn't work. The guy sounded like he personally wouldn't mind, but he was all about toeing the company line, and worrying about "wasteful spending". *sigh*

Anyway, to whoever posted the link, thanks very much. Quickly found the "previous versions" list, and snagged my 3.9.6 apk... which will continue to live on my 16gb SD, until they put out a 3.9.7+ version that actually works, again... _if_ they do...

Waze last update was in 25 of March year 2013 now we have 2016....

All you guys that now have problems with android versions could contact the developer from you BlackBerry and say to him you want an update to BlackBerry 10. I am sure none of you did this before type here a complaint!!!
That's why BlackBerry apps are not updated constantly cause devs think we have no downloads on blackberry but we do have on Android so android is of course more valuable for us let's update it and leave BlackBerry App as it is, no one making any noise about that so everything is good!
Now guys go and send an email to the dev saying you want a native BlackBerry update for Waze!
