I came from BB10 using "Stocks". My main purpose is monitoring different stocks during the day and having some tools like charts, news, etc. I wasn't worried about trying to maintain positions in an active "portfolio". Just a "watch list" to monitor/track.

I downloaded and tried about 10 apps:
    - MarketWatch
    - Stocks: Real-Time Stock Track
    - Stock Watcher 2 - Realtime
    - My Stocks Portfolio and Widget
    - My Stocks - Realtime Stock
    - US Stock Market
    - Stocks: Real-Time Quotes Charts
    - JStock Android
    - Stock Market Quotes Live
    - Stock Quote
I had not used any of these before so each was a totally new experience with each app.

I added several securities to each one and proceeded to check chart options, news, etc. etc. etc. I found them all lacking in one way or another (to many ads, limited chart settings, difficulty in adding securities, permissions, etc. etc.). Some of these are fairly good apps. They just all lacked in one way or another for what I was looking for.

Until I downloaded "Stock Quote" - Bishinews
When I downloaded "Stock Quote" it was all over. Very easy to add/remove securities, chart settings galore. Just a simple app with a great deal of horsepower. Also, limited ads and permissions. All data (security positions and settings) are on device so information does not need to be shared anywhere (you can backukp to dropbox, sd card, or goggle drive...... I have not tried backup however) .
(NOTE: I did find it a little weird that if you click "Chart" you can scroll through the Chart for each security in your watch list or portfolio. Same with news, etc. Seems weird from normal logic/flow, but at the same time kind of neat. It's not necessarily a good thing or a bad thing ....... just a thing.)

After finding Stock Quote I deleted/uninstalled all of the other apps.

Anyway ........ if you are looking for stock market app...... give "Stock Quote" a try.

I'm using 'QuickStocks', and I have to say after trying so many different ones so far, this one fits the bill. Easy to use, and at the same time quite powerful. You have to try it.
